St Francis Xavier College is a multi-campus, co-educational Catholic school in Melbourne that offers outstanding Catholic education for high school students.
We are proud to offer exceptional Catholic education at three campuses, serving the students and families of Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs. Each campus brings our school culture to life in unique ways and is led with a firm foundation that celebrates the saving mission of Christ.
Our Wellbeing curriculum is guided by our Catholic identity and aims to equip students with the knowledge and understanding they need to promote their own welfare and that of others. Our Wellbeing curriculum is aligned to the Victorian Curriculum, teaching Personal and Social Capabilities. It is designed to teach important skills as they relate to our three key wellbeing areas: Relationships, Relevance, and Resilience.
Our Junior Curriculum sets a strong foundation in a variety of learning disciplines, providing students the opportunity to build skills and pursue interests with an eye to future studies. In Years 7 to 9, students are introduced to subjects across all areas of the curriculum, giving them a breadth of learning before they filter down into the specific areas they aim to pursue in their lives after school. Students are supported with specialist facilities, vibrant events and elective choices to help them tailor their education.
Our Senior Curriculum prepares students for the final stage of their secondary education and life after school, with a choice of academic and vocational pathways to suit their needs. Students are able to complete their schooling with the VCE, VCE VM, or a number of other programs, all designed to suit different needs and prepare students for post-school pathways. Senior students are supported with a positive school community, accelerated learning opportunities and speciality subjects.
At St Francis Xavier College we value respect, curiosity, gratitude and hope. We aim to help all students become the best possible version of themselves by providing quality education in a caring yet challenging environment that extends beyond academic excellence. As a leading catholic school in Melbourne, we aim to instil strong character in students from the moment they arrive that will last long after they graduate.
