Students in Year 12 have the option of two programs, giving them the best opportunity to successfully finish off their schooling.
Please note that in order for a student to be awarded a VCE certificate, whether scored or unscored, a satisfactory completion of at least 3 Units of English is necessary, including a Unit 3 and 4 sequence. At least 3 other Unit 3 and 4 sequences are required.
Year 12 students attend our Beaconsfield senior campus.
This is the standard VCE program for students. VCE Year 12 students will study 5 VCE Units each semester (one of which must be an English subject), and will continue their Religious Education studies.
Higher Education studies are available to Year 12 students who have previously accelerated. An application process applies for all students.
The Vocational Major is a structured pathway designed to develop work and employability skills. Year 12 students in 2023 will complete Senior VCAL subjects as VCAL is phased out.
Students enrolled in VM will study:
As part of VM, students will also complete a VET subject of their choice, as well as a weekly structured work placement.
Students can opt to complete an Unscored VCE. In this program, students will not receive an ATAR. Students will study 5 VCE Units each semester, and will continue their Religious Education studies. Students may choose this option if they know their pathway does not lead to University study and does not require an ATAR.
The Unscored VCE program also involves an optional work placement. This would be completed during the Unit 3 and 4 exam period.
