Contributing to the life of our College community and the wider areas around us is fundamental for students at St Francis Xavier College. Our Community extra curricular activities encourage students to actively find ways to participate and serve those around them in enriching ways.
Students can take on a variety of leadership roles on each campus, including our Student Executive committee, House Executive and Representative Council positions. Other key portfolios include Liturgy, Justice, Sports, Arts, Debating, Environment and Yearbook Captains.
Each campus also has its own set of captains, with the overall College Captains and Vice Captains taking an important role as representatives of the school to the wider community. Leaders support the rights and participation of all students in the growth of the school and their College experience.
The Environmental Action Group is a collection of dedicated students and staff at our Beaconsfield campus who promote sustainability and raise awareness of environmental issues. The group plays a significant role in the continued improvement of the College’s sustainability practices and our work to mitigate the impacts of climate change.
Each year this special date in Australia’s history is commemorated at St Francis Xavier College in several ways, including a formal ceremony held in the Hall where all students gather to pay their respects. Campus Captains lay a wreath at our memorial site, which contains a descendant from the Lone Pine at Gallipoli.
Students of St Francis Xavier also often represent the College at the local City of Casey Anzac Day Dawn Service. Students and staff join in a symbolic show of unity and respect.
