2018 College Captains
Please join me in congratulating these students on their appointment to senior leadership roles for 2018.
They have been scrutinised by their peers, staff and finally interviewed by 2017 College Captains, Mary Davine and Xavier Velten, as part of the discernment process. Along with the other 4 candidates they have presented themselves beautifully in this process revealing a love of the College, a generous sense of service and the benefits of sound relationships with friends, family and school.
Their task next year will be to build upon the culture of student voice, animate the sense of community, acceptance and belonging that are hallmarks of all good schools and indeed this one.
Next week the remaining roles will be appointed and we should be grateful that so many young people of quality have such a profound sense of service and connection to St Francis Xavier College.
