SIS Sport is a weekly sporting competition in which St Francis Xavier College competes against other independent schools within the region. There are a variety of sports that students can get involved in, including football, netball, basketball, softball, volleyball, soccer, table tennis and many others. Sports last for a full term with matches played at both home and away venues, giving students the opportunity to travel to other schools to compete.
The SIS Sport competition is run on Thursday afternoons for Junior students (Years 7 and 8) and Senior students (Years 11 and 12), and on Friday afternoons for Intermediate students (Years 9 and 10).
The Southern Independent Schools network is a group of 14 schools in the region that are committed to enriching sport and cultural life in the spirit of cooperation and fairness. For more information, please visit the SIS website.
