Each year this special date in Australia’s history is commemorated at St Francis Xavier College in several ways, including a formal ceremony held in the Hall where all students gather to pay their respects. A prominent member of the local RSL delivers a special address each year, and the Campus Captains lay a wreath at our memorial site, which contains a descendant from the Lone Pine at Gallipoli.
Students of St Francis Xavier often represent the College at the local City of Casey Anzac Day Dawn Service. This takes place outside the City of Casey Municipal Offices and students that volunteer to attend this deeply reflective service are joined by staff in a symbolic show of unity and respect.
