Debating – DAV, SIS and House

Students at the Berwick Campus compete in three levels of debating: DAV (State level), SIS (Inter-school) and House (Campus inter-House). Debating is a collaborative experience that widens each child’s knowledge, understanding of real world issues and skillset, allowing for literacy and numeracy development.

The debating program at College runs from Term 1 to 4 with students having many opportunities to transfer their skills across the curriculum. They can become involved in the debating team, by approaching their campus debating co-ordinator and completing the permission form. Students are required to commit to weekly or fortnightly meetings to support their team and practise skills
