Creating a sense of accomplishment
As we get into the swing of Semester 2, it makes sense for student to have another look at their goals for the year. What is it that they value and want to achieve academically, socially, personally, and more? Being able to set and attain goals that have meaning for the individual is important to our sense of self and own personal wellbeing.
The SMART Goal model has been used to help people to be able to articulate and stay committed to their goals. It moves broad ambitions to an attainable accomplishment. Next time you get a chance, think about your own SMART goals and have a talk to your loved ones about theirs. Not only does talking about goals help us to clearly identify them, it gives us inspiration and a sense of accountability to want to achieve them.
