Vice Principal News – 5 December 2019

Congratulations to all students for their effort with their learning this year.  As this is the last online news edition for 2019.  I would like to wish all students and their families a happy Christmas and a restful break for the students.  Thank you also to the great staff of the College for their professional and caring work with the students this year.

Year 8 City Experience

Congratulations to all students for their achievement during the City Experience last week.  Students learnt a lot and developed many valuable skills.

Reports for Semester 2 will be published on 11 December.

2020 Booklist

2020 Years 10, 11 and 12 students are already aware of the subjects they are studying next year.  2020 Year 8 and 9 students will receive their subjects on Friday 6 December. 

The booklist has been available since Thursday 28 November and order online via the College Website under Admissions and then Books. 

Alternatively, you can order directly through CAMPION via www.campion.com.au and using the code ‘BRXT’.

Booklists are due on 20 December.

Books can be collected from Beaconsfield Campus Hall on:

• Tuesday, 14 January 2020between 00pm and 7.00pm; or
• Wednesday, 15 January 2020 between 9.00am and 12.00pm.

Second Hand Books

Purchasing of second-hand books is facilitated by the Sustainable School Shop. Enquiries should be directed to Sustainable School Shop via their website at www.sustainableschoolshop.com.au.

The 2020 school calendar will be published on PAM in January, however the following is a list of key dates.

• Term 1 first day of classes: 3 February
• Student free day (Staff Wellbeing Professional Learning Day): 28 February
• Term 1 last day of classes: 27 March

• Term 2 first day of classes: 14 April
• Student free day (Staff Learning and Teaching Professional Learning Day): 1 May
• Student free day (Teacher Professional Practice Day): 12 June
• Term 2 last day of classes: 26 June

• Student free day (Teacher Curriculum Planning Professional Learning Day): 13 July
• Term 3 first day of classes: 14 July
• Student free day (Staff Catholic Identity Retreat Day): 30 July
• Term 3 last day of classes: 18 September

• Term 4 first day of classes: 5 October
• Term 4 last day of classes for 2020 Year 12 students: 20 October

2020 Commencement 

Classes for Year 7 2020 commence on Monday 3 February 2020 at 8.45am.  Students are required to arrive before this time and proceed directly to the hall and sit near their respective House banner.
