Planning for 2019

At this stage of the year, the College is supporting students with completing their learning program for 2018 as well as planning for 2019.

We look forward to many exciting outcomes from the Curriculum Review. In recent weeks planning has taken place around many projects including Year 8 City Experience, Year 7 Instrumental Music Program, Inquiry and Project Based Learning subjects, VCE English Language, VCE Environmental Science, Year 10 VCAL, Year 8 and 9 Media Arts, Year 8 and 9 Dance, Wellbeing subjects and Extension Academies among other projects.

A reminder that classes will begin at 8.45am and conclude at 3.25pm at all campuses in 2019.

Allocation of students to classes for 2019 has just about concluded. Students in Year 10, 11 and 12 in 2019 have now received their subjects and those in Year 8 and 9 in 2019 will receive their subjects shortly.

Booklists are just about complete and will be published to parents by the end of next week.

We wish 2019 Year 10 – 12 students best wishes as they begin the Commencement Program next Monday. This will see students beginning the first three weeks of their 2019 courses.

The final day for Year 8 – 11 2018 students is Friday 7 December.

The first day of classes for Year 7 – 12 in 2019 is Monday 4 February.

 

Japan Exchange Programs and Study Tour 2019

An information evening regarding hosting students as part of Japan Exchange Programs in 2019 will be held at 6.30pm on Thursday 22 November in the MJ Auditorium at Beaconsfield Campus.

An information evening regarding the proposed Japan Study Tour 2019 will be held at 7.00pm on Thursday 22 November in the MJ Auditorium at Beaconsfield Campus.

All interested students are invited to attend with a parent or guardian.

 

Presentation Night

A reminder that this year’s Presentation Night will be held next Wednesday 21 November. Students involved have now received their permission forms. The booking system for tickets for seats at Robert Blackwood Hall (Monash University, Clayton Campus) for parents opened on 9 November. At the time of writing this article approximately 90 tickets were remaining. We look forward to a great night of celebration!
