Cycle 3 Reports

Cycle 3 reports will be published to parents tomorrow. These reports provide a summary of student achievement over the course of the semester. Feedback from the Cycle 1 and Cycle 2 Reports is included as well as results from more recent assessment tasks and the overall result for students which is in the form of a Progression Point for Years 7 – 10 subjects, Satisfactory/Not Satisfactory for VCE subjects and Competent/In Progress for VCAL and VET subjects. I encourage parents to discuss the report with their son or daughter and to help them identify goals for the future. Vin has presented some ideas around goals in his newsletter article.

Subject Selection

The subject selection process is now well underway. Students currently in Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 have attended assemblies this week which outlined options for their 2019 learning program as well as the steps involved with the subject selection process. Thank you to the parent who attended the Years 8, 9 and 10 2019 Parent Information Evenings.

Year 8 and 9 2019

Term 2

27 June: Student Assemblies, Officer Campus
28 June: Student Assemblies, Berwick Campus
29 June: ‘Select My Subjects’ website opens for elective preference entering (email will be sent to students)
29 June: Application forms for Extension Academies published on SIMON for students

Term 3

20 July: Application forms for Extension Academies due
25 July: Extension Academy Application outcomes communicated to students
30 July: Electives are due to be entered on ‘Select My Subjects’ website

Year 10 2019

Term 2

25 June: Student Assembly, Berwick Campus
27 June: Student Assembly, Officer Campus
29 June: ‘Select My Subjects’ website opens for initial preference entering (email will be sent to students)
29 June: VCE Acceleration Form will be published on SIMON
29 June: VET Application Form will be published on SIMON

Term 3

20 July: VCE Acceleration Application Forms due (to Student Services)
20 July: VET Application Forms due (to Student Services)
20 July: Initial preferences entered online
2 August: VCE Acceleration interviews
6 and 7 August: Subject selection meetings with students and Care group Teacher and entering of final preferences

Year 11 2019

Term 2
