PROJECT COMPASSION

On Tuesday 25 February, St Francis Xavier College hosted the launch of Project Compassion for many primary and secondary schools within the Sale Diocese.

Thank you to Bishop Patrick O’Regan for leading our Liturgy and Gwen Michener from Caritas for sharing her presentation.

We are all encouraged to consider the needs of others and to Be the Hands and Heart of God as we consider this year’s Project Compassion theme; Go Further Together.

Project Compassion is Caritas Australia’s annual Lenten fundraising and awareness raising campaign. We stand together in order to help end poverty, promote justice and uphold dignity.

The students proudly accepted a Caritas candle from Bishop Patrick and Gwen to take back to their school community.
