A very warm welcome back to all students and families. We have had a wonderful start to Semester 2 and we are looking forward to an exciting time ahead at the Berwick Campus.
The commencement of Semester 2 is always a busy time regarding student subject selections. It was pleasing to see an overwhelming response to applications for a range of our academy courses including; Sport, Literature, STEM, Health Science, Visual Arts and Performing Arts.
Some key dates below in the subject selection timeline:
Friday 26 July – All Year 7/8 subject selections due
Thursday 1 August – VCE/VET Acceleration subject application interviews Berwick Campus – LRC

Please click here to view the updated College Uniform Policy. Please note that no uniform items have been added/subtracted, this is just an update of the guidelines in place, as well as an explanation of the rational and expectations of the College.
Please be reminded that it is the responsibility of all parents/guardians to provide detailed medical information for their child via PAM, in order for the College to fulfil its duty of care:
An ASCIA Action Plan for Anaphylaxis (red plan) should be completed by the student’s medical practitioner and a colour copy provided to the school.
The ASCIA Action Plan for Anaphylaxis (red plan) must outline the student’s known severe allergies and the emergency procedures to be taken in the event of an allergic reaction.
Parents must also provide the school with an Adrenaline Auto Injector (eg Epipen) and College approved Medbag as soon as their child has been diagnosed as being at risk of anaphylaxis. These will be kept in a secure location on campus and will be taken to excursions and camps as required.
An ASCIA Action Plan for Allergic Reactions (green plan) should be completed by the student’s medical practitioner and a colour copy provided to the school.
The ASCIA Action Plan for Allergic Reactions (green plan) must outline the student’s known mild to moderate food, insect or medication allergies and the emergency procedures to be taken in the event of an allergic reaction.
Parents must provide the school with an Asthma Action Plan completed by the student’s medical practitioner. The plan must outline the student’s known triggers and the emergency procedures to be taken in the event of an asthma flare-up or attack.
In addition to the asthma action plan, parents must ensure that their child has access to their personal supply of asthma medication and a spacer during school hours.
Thanks to Connor McAleese and the maintenance team who have worked hard over the holiday break to install the new classroom fit outs for our McKenna building. Students and staff were consulted in a number of forums regarding the layout and furniture of not only the classrooms but the break out spaces between each classroom to enhance collaborative learning. Each of the classrooms has similar furniture but a slightly different layout to help drive the nature and shape of future classroom upgrades at Berwick. These new upgrades help facilitate an innovate approach to learning at Berwick.
Well done to the Liturgy/Justice Captains, Ms Rachel McDonald and Heads of House who helped coordinate the annual St Vinnies can drive. Students were encouraged to bring in a number of canned food items to donate to needy families over the last month of Term 2.
As an added incentive, each House lined their cans up in a line to score points for the House with the highest volume. Thanks to all families and students that supported this initiative so generously as there were over 1400 cans collected in total.
Congratulations to the following students for achieving the Principal’s Award: Student of the Term in Term 2.
