Chess Club

Activity Leader
Paul Pascoe

The Chess Club operates at lunchtimes in the Library mainly during the winter months. Students play in competitions against each other receiving mentoring and coaching from the staff who supervise this activity at each of the campuses. The activity is open to all interested Year 7 to 12 students. As well as playing at school, students can also play online against other people from all around the world using “Game Knot”.

The end goal for each student is to become a good enough player to be selected for the SIS team which competes against the other schools in our region at the Annual Chess Competition day in early September.
